Special Family

Today was a real treat. Some of our dearest friends, Jed and Jaime, are in town from Pennsylvania visiting relatives for the holidays. They stopped by for a short visit and we finally got to meet their newest family member,Simeon. He was born just about 4 months ago and he is as adorable in person as he is in his pictures! He has the biggest eyes and a head FULL of hair - and he's big! He's quite charming. Since Jaime has gone before me on this voyage called motherhood, she obligingly answers all my crazy questions and gives me lots of good advice. It is so fun having a friend to talk to about these things.

Trevor and I keep saying that we want Tristen to grow up knowing and loving Simeon the way we love Jed and Jaime. They moved to Pennsylvania about 3 years ago and we were so sad to see them leave. We'd grown very close to them and it was hard to let them go. But, over the past few years we've all managed to squeeze in a few visits, and it is always good to see them when they're in town. Next visit is our turn. :)

Here are a couple of pictures I took while they were here. Simeon is quite a mover and had his legs and arms going most of the time, so some of the pictures I took were blurry.
