Since the weather outside is frightful, the pups are now indoor dogs. They sleep in the basement next to (or under) the woodstove. We have it all set up for them. Bones, beds, food bowls, a bucket of water and cats to drive them nuts. Enter our dog Baron...
Each day, just to torment Baron, my cat loves to sit on the steps and stare at the dogs. There is a board up at the bottom of the steps that prevents the dogs from coming upstairs - and provides Jack adequate saftey from the drooling beasts. The cats actually don't mind the dogs, and the dogs like the cats. They've been in the same rooms numerous times, but Baron gets really excited and tries to play with the cats - all 95 lbs of him. That seems to intimidate the cats a bit.
So - for the past few nights Baron has been barking. He'll sit at the bottom of the steps and let out an annoyed "rough" every minute or two. Irritating!!! Finally, Trevor went to see what was making Baron bark and it turns out he was barking at a boot. Sitting at the top of the stairs. Looking like a cat. Like the cat that sits at the top of the stairs and stares at him. Poor guy. For days that darn boot has been having a staring contest with him and it wasn't backing down!!!
Happy Tuesday everyone ...

hmm, Jack sounds just like Shadow. He loves to torment pepper and stand where she can see him but not reach him. Must be because they both are Thelma's cats!
That is too funny!
That is really funny. I hope all is well with you and your work. I'm sure you are very busy lately.
