worked late on friday
trevor picked me up from work and treated me to my favorite Chinese buffet
went grocery shopping for some gourmet beer and milk
home and bed - i'm sneezing again!
saturday
went to work - trevor went to a church function, Sams and then a work related meeting. he also helped a church member move some furniture to her new home. i didn't get to see him until after 6:00 p.m.
had a meeting with a fellow newsletter staff member for our church newsletter. not a productive meeting and extremely frustrating after having worked on a computer formatting pleadings all morning. i really hate word.
quick pick up around the house. hit the spots most obvious and cleaned the bathroom - can't stand dirty bathrooms!
drove an hour to my niece's surprise birthday party (she's 11!!) and she was so surprised.
drove the hour long drive back home and made it back around 9:30 pm
prepared food for our Sunday afternoon lunch guests - a family of 6! steak, scalloped potatoes (my husband's new specialty!), green bean casserole and biscuits.
sunday:
went to church and only afterward did i discover the hole in the butt of my jeans - yep, the people behind me had a nice view of my hind side. glad i wore my good underwear ... just in case they noticed. hehehe
came home and cooked the food we'd prepared the night before
fed aforementioned family of 6 and attempted to socialize for the next 4 hours - lots of kids and lots of noise.
waved bye-bye to lunch guests - is it wrong to be relieved when a whole family leaves and your household returns to normal? they are a good family - just big and loud! loved having them over, but we're not much for entertaining small kids - their youngest son was a little bored.
put on pajama bottoms and comfy sweatshirt - suddenly i felt much better - and brought my favorite pillow down to rest with me on the sofa
sat down on sofa and haven't moved much since. watched cold case and one of my all time favorite movies ... lake placid. it is funny!
i feel a good night's sleep coming on.

Hole in the jeans, that is pretty funny. One time while working at Shoneys, a guy came in with a hole in the crotch and no underwear, uh yeah. And I had a dance teacher once who when she did a plie, she had a rip up the crack of her leggings! Again no underwear just a leotard. So trust me it could've been worse!!
Thank goodness for underwear!
I don't think it's wrong to feel relieved once your company leaves. Sometimes you just need to get in your pjs and sit on the couch.
