On Friday it rained all day, which left the college grounds a bit on the muddy side. We arrived two hours earlier than necessary, so we got quite a bit of walking in. Had I been trying to force myself to go into labor it would have been the perfect opportunity. My feet felt like they were ready to fall off by the time we left to go home. We braved high winds and mud to admire old cars, a mule jumping contest (did you know they jump over things and not up in the air? I didn't!!), watching border collies herd some sheep, admire the crafts from all over the area - there are some VERY talented people; and finally, pitch our vote for the best quilt displayed. All in all it was a fun day, just a little on the cold side. We were so glad to get home and enjoy the warmth of the house - and take a nice long cat nap in various locations around the living room. Around 3:30 the power went out and we ended up hanging out, talking and heating up our dinner on the grill and the gas stove in the living room. It was quite a night!
Here are a couple of pics from our adventure:

And a neat picture of jars of yeast and other bread making ingredients that are kept in the kitchen of the pioneer cabin.
Thanks mom and dad for a lovely day, an even better dinner, and for the yummy fried apple pie treat. I love you guys!!
